Flamenco Action in SG
The thrill of fun (and fear) at flamenco fiestas!
Flamenco improvisations are challenging. We don’t know what and how the singer will sing. Yikes!
So all ears are tuned and ‘dance antennas’ are up. It trains our senses to sharpen & anticipate, each time we go through it.
As the curator conceptualising the show, I am inspired by the flamenco gatherings I love, when in Spain.
Fiesta spontaneity is infectious, we cheer one another on. Dances are short and sweet, so we can all have our turns. The missing touches are the drinks and food!! We gotta get an F&B partner next time!
These girls make history. They are dancing in the first ‘por fiesta’ show in Singapore. It’s a bit scary, but hey, courage is when you face the unknown, and respond to what comes at you!
Spanish Wellbeing & Personal Growth
Boost posture, confidence & emotional connection
You don't need to be a pro to experience the benefits of flamenco. Here, first timers are getting an introduction session at last week's workshop.
I get them to be aware of their posture, grow a strong stance, like a sturdy tree full of living energy!
Humans evolved by carrying themselves up. Yet these days I see so many with lapsed physiques.
You can apply flamenco concepts to your life for wellbeing, personal & professional growth.
Enjoy Spanish Lifestyle
Here are the new restaurants. Try them and let me know what you liked!
- Binomio - not new, it's well-established, but it makes my list for its new swanky location at Raffles Hotel. I like the al fresco casual bar space just right in front of the more formal indoor restaurant.
- Carlitos at Joo Chiat - I'll be taking participants of my 'I Miss Spain' workshop there on Sundays.
- Vino Tinto - new branch at One Raffles Place (it still has its Dempsey Branch), by chefs Tamara & Daniel who also run Canchita Peruvian restaurant and are opening the New Mexican at the Esplanade. Yum!
